1. Introduction
DJC Environmental is committed to delivering professional, reliable, and compliant environmental consultancy services. Our services may include, but are not limited to, asbestos surveying, asbestos sampling and testing, asbestos awareness training, project management, removal support, environmental consultancy, compliance advice, and other related professional services.
These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the contractual relationship between DJC Environmental and its clients and apply to all services provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Quotations, Bookings and Service Agreements
All quotations issued by DJC Environmental are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time of preparation. Unless otherwise stated, quotations remain valid for a period of thirty days from the date of issue.
A binding agreement shall be deemed to exist when a quotation is accepted, a purchase order is received, written confirmation is provided, or instructions are given to proceed with the work.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that information supplied to DJC Environmental is accurate, complete, and up to date. Where additional work becomes necessary due to inaccurate information, changes in project scope, restricted access, unforeseen site conditions, or additional client requirements, DJC Environmental reserves the right to revise fees accordingly.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees for services shall be as specified within the relevant quotation, proposal, service agreement, or invoice.
Unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing, invoices are payable within thirty days of the invoice date. Certain services, including training courses, specialist consultancy work, or project-based services, may require payment in advance.
Failure to make payment within the agreed timeframe may result in the suspension of services, withholding of reports or certificates, cancellation of future bookings, and the application of interest and recovery charges in accordance with applicable legislation.
All fees are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) unless otherwise stated. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate where applicable.
6. Cancellations, Refunds and Rescheduling
DJC Environmental understands that circumstances may arise requiring appointments, surveys, consultancy visits, or training courses to be cancelled or rescheduled.
Where a client wishes to cancel a scheduled service, reasonable notice should be provided as early as possible. Cancellations received more than five working days before the scheduled service date will generally be eligible for a full refund or transfer of booking. Cancellations made within five working days may incur administrative and scheduling costs, and DJC Environmental reserves the right to retain part of the agreed fee.
Where cancellation occurs within forty-eight hours of the scheduled service, or where access is unavailable upon arrival at the agreed location, the full service fee may be payable.
For training courses, cancellations received more than fourteen days before the course date may be refunded in full or transferred to an alternative date. Cancellations received within fourteen days may be subject to partial or complete forfeiture of course fees depending on the notice provided and costs incurred.
Should DJC Environmental be required to cancel or postpone a service due to unforeseen circumstances, clients will be offered either an alternative appointment date or a full refund of any fees already paid. DJC Environmental shall not be liable for any consequential losses arising from such cancellations.
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to sites, premises, and relevant information necessary for DJC Environmental to perform its services.
Where surveys or inspections are required, clients must ensure that access arrangements have been made and that any known hazards, restrictions, or safety concerns are disclosed before attendance.
DJC Environmental reserves the right to suspend or refuse work where conditions are considered unsafe or where legal obligations cannot be met.
Additional charges may apply where attendance is delayed, extended, or repeated due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of DJC Environmental.
8. Professional Advice and Reports
Any reports, recommendations, assessments, surveys, or professional advice issued by DJC Environmental are prepared using the information available at the time of inspection and in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance, standards, and industry best practice.
Such reports represent professional opinions based upon observations made during the inspection and should not be interpreted as guarantees regarding future conditions or circumstances.
Clients should be aware that conditions may change over time, and reports should not be relied upon indefinitely without review. DJC Environmental accepts no responsibility for changes occurring after the completion of services.
9. Limitation of Liability
DJC Environmental shall exercise reasonable skill, care, and diligence in the performance of its services. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, DJC Environmental shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or economic loss arising from the use of its website, services, reports, advice, or documentation.
This includes, but is not limited to, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, loss of contracts, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any losses resulting from reliance upon information supplied by third parties.
Where liability is established, the total liability of DJC Environmental shall be limited to the value of the services giving rise to the claim.
